We know how much time and care goes into organising a successful school residential. That’s why we’ve created this dedicated Teachers’ Area – designed to make planning your trip with Manor Adventure simple, stress-free, and rewarding.
Here you’ll find everything you need, from booking guidance and safety information to curriculum links, practical planning tips, and details of how our team supports you at every stage.
Whether you’re planning your first visit or returning for another year, our goal is to make your residential safe, educational, and truly memorable for both pupils and staff.
Why choose Manor Adventure
A trusted partner
for schools
Since 1991, Manor Adventure has been proudly family-run and focused solely on educational residentials.
We work with thousands of schools each year – many of whom return to us annually – thanks to our personal service, consistent quality, and proven educational value.
Every activity is designed to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience while linking to key curriculum areas – from Geography and Languages, and History to PSHE and Physical Education.
Our programmes help pupils learn through challenge, exploration, and hands-on experience, ensuring every trip supports classroom learning and character development.
Unlike larger national providers, we intentionally keep our centres smaller to create a more personal environment.
Every pupil is known by name, every teacher receives hands-on support, and our instructors can tailor each session to the group’s needs – delivering a higher standard of safety, instruction, and engagement.
Experienced, professional teams
Our activity leaders are passionate educators, selected for their expertise, enthusiasm, and ability to motivate pupils.
Each member of staff holds relevant National Governing Body qualifications, enhanced DBS checks, and first aid certification, ensuring pupils are in safe, inspiring hands.
As a family-run company, we take pride in offering schools the kind of care, communication, and consistency that larger organisations simply can’t match.
From your first enquiry to the final day of your visit, you’ll receive dedicated support from our School Journey Advisors and on-site management teams.
Educational Benefits
A Manor Adventure residential isn’t just a break from school – it’s an extension of it.
Each activity helps pupils build real-world skills that complement classroom learning, develop character, and strengthen relationships.
Children learn to take on challenges, work as a team, and discover what they’re capable of – building confidence that carries back into everyday school life.
Linked to the curriculum
Many of our activities naturally align with PE, Geography, Languages, History, and PSHE outcomes.
Through problem-solving, communication, and physical challenge, pupils develop key skills in line with Ofsted’s personal development and character education framework.
We can also tailor programmes to meet specific school objectives – whether your focus is teamwork, leadership, resilience, or outdoor education.
Planning Your Trip
From the first enquiry to the journey home, our experienced team supports you every step of the way.
Whether you’re exploring options or finalising your itinerary, we’re here to make the process simple, efficient, and enjoyable.
We’ll help with:
- Choosing the right centre and course
- Providing quotes and sample itineraries
- Risk assessments
- Dietary and medical planning
- Pre-visit advice, including a presentation to the pupils and their parents
If you’re considering a residential but aren’t sure where to start, our School Journey Advisors are here to help.
They’ll take the time to understand your group’s goals, age range, and preferred dates before recommending the perfect centre and course.
We encourage schools to get in touch early – it’s the best way to secure your preferred dates, receive tailored pricing, and design the right programme for your pupils.
We also recommend previewing our centres, giving you the opportunity to experience our accommodation, activity areas, and staff first-hand.
Once your booking is confirmed, our team will work closely with you to finalise every detail of your stay.
You’ll have a dedicated coordinator who will send all pre-trip materials, including parent letters, planning checklists, risk assessments, and dietary and medical forms – ensuring everything runs smoothly from the very start.
Our pre-visit support also includes the option for a presentation to your pupils and parents, should you wish to arrange one.
Your group will be welcomed by our on-site management team, who will lead the safety briefing and coordinate your schedule.
All activities are fully supervised by our qualified instructors, while teachers remain the main point of contact for pastoral care and pupil wellbeing.
We take care of logistics, timings, and activity delivery – leaving you free to enjoy the experience with your pupils.
Evening outdoor pursuit activities are included, ensuring a full and engaging programme from morning until lights out.
Many schools choose to share feedback, photos, or assembly presentations after their residential – and we love hearing about the impact your visit has made.
Our team is always available for follow-up support, rebooking advice, or planning your next residential.
